Acne occurs in people of all ages. There are a number of contributors to the formation of acne. It is known to be a disorder resulting from the action of hormones on the skin’s oil glands (sebaceous glands), which lead to plugged pores and outbreaks of lesions commonly called pimples or zits.
Acne lesions usually occur on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders. A large majority of people in Australia have acne, making it the most common skin disease. Although acne is not a serious health threat, severe acne can lead to disfigurement and permanent scarring, which can be upsetting to people who are affected by the disorder. Today, virtually every case of acne can be resolved.
At The Beauty House we believe that Acne is different for each person. When you come in for your consultation, our experienced staff will analyze your skin thoroughly and then discuss your life style, dietary intake and medical history and skin care regime, all of which contribute to the health and wellness of your skin.
There are many treatments and specialized products to effectively treat and cure acne and can be found on our main Beauty House website.

Our Experience with IPL & Acne
Acne is our specialty as a number of The Beauty House staff have suffered mild to severe acne over the years. We’ve tested it and we’ve seen amazing results on ourselves so we’re excited to offer this treatment to you, making the burden of acne and breakouts a thing of the past.
Treatments are conducted 2-3 days apart. We recommend between 7-10 treatments depending on the severity of the acne.

Patches: $55 (e.g. chin)

I have had mild to moderate acne, I have mostly red marks but a few scars (that are really only on the surface of my skin)
I understand that I need to book in for a consultation before the IPL treatment and miicrodermabrasion that may be used in my case.
Can I book in for a consultation on Saturday, or do you only hold consultations on week days?
Are you starting to book up for the Christmas period, if so when are your next available times next week for consultations?

I have just sent you an email to discuss the various options we have available. We have quite a lot of treatments available for acne and scaring so it is best to organise a consultation. In the email i have outlined times available for this appointment.
