I first enquired about IPL hair removal whilst having some waxing done at The Beauty House in Elwood. The staff member gave me some general information and told me of some success stories of clients that had been treated.
I booked in and had a consultation and a patch test (which was at no charge) and a week later I started my treatment on my underarms. It was quite painless much to my surprise as I had heard it was quite painful. I noticed a massive reduction in my hair growth in the first treatment. I would say 50%.
I was told that I would need 6-10 treatments in total. I had my treatments done every 4 weeks and after my 7th treatment I really didn’t have much hair left only some fine blonde hair. I was ecstatic with the results and soon after began treatment to my bikini line.
Again the treatment was fantastic. A bit more zappy though as it was in a more sensitive area but I wouldn’t consider it painful. I found that I needed 9 treatments on my bikini line and am very happy with the results.

I had my underarms professionally treated by IPL in October 2007 at The Beauty House in Elwood. A friend of mine referred me to The Beauty House as she had her bikini done and it was all gone. I couldn’t believe it when she showed me.
So I started the treatment the following month and I am very happy with the outcome. I have had 5 treatments in total and I think more than 70% of the hair is gone. I know I need to have another few treatments to complete my treatment but I’m wrapped with the results.
The therapist who treated me was very professional and knew a lot about the technical stuff of the laser and how it works. Very impressed with that.
The prices were also very low if you compare it to other places. So I was very happy with the result and four of my friends are now having IPL done as well at the Beauty House.
